Is There Still Snow In Frazier Park CA?
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
There is still snow in Frazier Park CA.
We got a couple of inches the other day.
Many people are a little confused about where Frazier Park is, and if you are one of those many people, please read my post on 'Snow In Frazier Park'. Just be advised that when you exit the freeway, off Frazier Mountain Park Rd exit, you are not yet is Frazier Park CA, and you will not see snow (unless it snows tonight but there is no snow in the forecast).
If you would like to know where the best place is to go sledding, in the snow, off Frazier Mountain Park Rd, then please read my post on 'Snow Play In Frazier Park'. The only place that will have enough snow, to sled on, is the third place, I write about, in the post. There are several places between the second and third places, I write about in the post.
NO CHAINS ARE REQUIRED in order to go to the places I indicate in the post 'Snow Play In Frazier Park'.
The 5 Freeway is open!
The road conditions are great!
The weather is awesome! Today it got up to 67 degrees and it was very sunny with scattered clouds, every so often.
The weather in Frazier Park CA, should be sunny and warm tomorrow. Warm to us is above 50, so if you think it is cold when it is below 70 (which most So Cal peeps do) then it will be cold to you. ;-)
There may be scattered clouds, which makes it colder.
Well, I hope this is helpful, we love it when you visit so have a good time and please pick up your trash, lol...
:-)

We Got New Snow In Frazier Park CA Yesterday
Hey everyone!
It snowed off and on in Frazier Park CA, yesterday. We got about an inch or two.
Current snow conditions in Frazier Park CA are it is sunny and 41 degrees, Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at 9:11 a.m.
NO CHAINS ARE REQUIRED!
AND THE 5 FREEWAY IS OPEN!
Although, the sun was out when I left yesterday morning about 8 a.m. and when I got home, around 11:30 a.m., I was sliding all over on the snow in my SUV. Check the forecast for Frazier Park CA. Usually when it says 90 to 100% chance of snow in Frazier Park CA, they are right. Not so right when it is less percent.
I can see about five miles east, from my front balcony (I am at 5000 feet) and I see clouds, same as yesterday morning.
If you would like to know where to go for Snow Play in Frazier Park CA, check out my post, SNOW PLAY IN FRAZIER PARK, CA.
Have a wonderful time, and hope to see you here in Frazier Park, CA.

Current Conditions And Snow In Frazier Park
It is Friday, February 05, 2010 at 3:45 pm and the humidity is 100% because it is raining in Frazier Park, CA.
There is still snow here in Frazier Park California and my guess is that it is going to snow tonight.
Whether it stops raining or it snows tonight, you will need chains when you come to Frazier Park CA tomorrow, because the temperature tonight will cause icy roads tomorrow morning.
If you need an idea of where to snow play in Frazier Park, CA, check out my blog post on
SNOW PLAY IN FRAZIER PARK CA
I will attempt to post current snow conditions and CHP chain requirements, tomorrow morning, in Frazier Park CA, as soon as I can.

Snow In Frazier Park CA
This is Bo in the Snow!
IS THERE SNOW IN FRAZIER PARK???
Well, yes there is. After some blizzardous (I love that word) conditions, the snow finally stopped, for now.
When I woke up this morning it wasn't snowing at all. That was surprising because they said it would snow all night.
Well, it started to snow this morning and then it turned into near blizzard. It is now a little after 5 p.m. and the snow has stopped, for now.
They say it is gonna snow until Friday Night.
STORM WARNING!

There Is Snow In Frazier Park
Yes indeed, there is snow in Frazier Park, CA. This is a picture of a bus that was slanted in the middle of the road because of the ice. I was on my way home around 1 p.m., about 2 hours after it started snowing, and as I headed up Mt. Pinos Way (our main road in town) I discovered the bus, slanted taking up all lanes.
Unfortunately, I had to stop, and guess what? That's right, I got stuck. I couldn't head up the hill anymore because of the ice and so I started to slowly reverse my car to the right side of the road, so I could park. I was in the X-Terra, which cannot get through snow for nothin. I should have been in Bocephus Savage, our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now that vehicle can drive in any kind of snow and pull other cars out, to boot.
As I was in reverse, crazy little miss teenager passes me on the left with a pick-up truck, without four wheel drive. Her dilemma was worse then mine because she blocked the tow truck, as the driver was putting his chains on so he could tow the bus.
OMG! He let her have it. Took a while for her to move her truck out of the way, and the tow truck driver helped her, as he cursed away. LOL! This was quite the entertainment.
This is the CHP on scene
Above is the tow truck that straightened the bus, not the one that was going to tow it.
Then you have the bus sliding, yes sliding, down the street.
And below is the bus sliding, yes sliding, further down the street. The big truck you see on the right is the truck that was going to tow the bus.
The joys of the snow in Frazier Park, aye? It was fun for me except I had to hike home and get Bocephus and return to the X-Terra to get all my stuff.
Good times! And more snow on the way!

Frazier Park CA in January
The weather has been a bit weird for January in Frazier Park, CA. We usually have snow on the ground or it is snowing. It has been so warm here and I think it has only snowed two or three times this winter.
Needless to say, we don't have snow right now. Yesterday was warm and sunny with some clouds.
Yesterday, around 11 am I was walking Simon, one of my dogs, and it was nice and warm. The clouds were scattered and I could tell we would get some moisture today.
When I looked up in the clouds I said, to Simon, "Looks like we might get some snow tomorrow."
Guess what, it rained. I woke up early, and I mean early, this morning to the sound of rain.
POOP! I want snow!
I have hardly had to use the heater or the fire place this winter during the day. Usually, the heater is on 24-7 in the winter and the fireplace is a blazin every night. Not this year though.
Well, they say we will get a storm this weekend. Who is they? Those dagged burned weather peeps.
Let's hope for the best, meaning a shizzz load of snow, eh?
The only good thing about not having snow is the snow bunnies (that is what we call city folk that come up for the snow) aren't leaving their trash every where.
Don't get me wrong, we love you snow bunnies, just not your trash. There are trash cans you know.
Well, until next post...

History of Frazier Park California
The earliest record relating to Frazier Park was a report in 1854 that lumber was being produced there from Frazier Mountain trees for use at the new Army post at nearby Fort Tejon. Frazier Mountain was called Pinery Mountain.
Frazier Park was established in 1925 by Harry Mc Bain, who named it in 1926 after Frazier Mountain. The post office was established on September 14, 1927, with Charles B. Fife as the first postmaster.
Frazier Park lies within Cuddy Canyon inside the Los Padres National Forest.
Nearby communities include Lake of the Woods, Lebec, Pine Mountain Club, and Santa Clarita which is the nearest large city.
The highest peak in the area is Mt. Pinos at 8,831 feet which is a popular hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, back-country snowboarding, star-gazing, back-packing, and camping location.
Frazier Park has an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school all within the El Tejon Unified School District.

About Frazier Park CA
Frazier Park is my Beautiful Town USA! I love it here. The weather is always perfect. Perfectly warm or perfectly cold.
Today the high was almost 60 degrees. Perfect!
The sky, here in Frazier Park, is always the bluest skies I have ever seen, like Hawaii.
Frazier Park, CA, is an unincorporated community in Kern County. I like to call it my little village, he he he.
My little village is about three miles west of the Interstate 5 Freeway, you may know it as The Grapevine.
It is early January and we don't have any snow right now, which is quite unusual. We tend to get some snow right after Christmas. We got a bit of snow in November that stuck for a couple of days.
I love the snow and I love when we get a lot of it.
If you get a chance to visit us, here in Frazier Park, CA, you will love it! We have hiking and mountain biking trails. We have 4X4 camps. And we have many amenities that all tourists love like small Mom and Pop restaurants and stores.
Check us out.
Have a great day and visit us soon if you get a chance, we love to have you!!!

Busniness in Frazier Park CA
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Stanfill and welcome to my blog, Frazier Park CA!!!
This is my first post on this blog. Before I posted, I thought I would go out to my community and see if anyone had websites that they would like me to link to my new blog, for free.
It was a lot of fun walking around talking to people and business owners in my town. You see, my town (Beautiful Town USA is what I like to call it) does not have an unkind person in it.
So, I am walking and talking. I am also interrupting people right in the middle of their work but they don't say a thing. Some just keep on a workin while we a talkin. I LOVE IT!!!
What a wonderful day! The air is always clean here. The sun was out and it was a delicious 60 degrees.
Today, I met a lot of wonderful people who have great businesses.
Many businesses do not have a website. Can you believe that?
The other day I read that 60% of people search the internet for information before they use any other resource like the phone book. No one really uses the phone book anymore, do they?
What was disappointing was, I met two people that told me they don't need a website.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Yeah, I'm sorry that you don't need a website and I am sorry you won't grow your business 30 to 60% either. The worst part was the first person did not have one, NOT ONE, paying customer in her store. The other person only had one, THAT'S RIGHT, ONE!
WHOLEY MOLEY GUACAMOLE AVOCADO SAUCE!
Yeah! Who needs technology anyway? It won't be long before we all do.
Just a little point here people. There are so many people that access the internet from their cellular phone. That's right, they don't have to be residents of Frazier Park CA, at home on their computer. We have tourists, HELLO!?!
We have tourists in the Winter (we call them snow bunnies). And we have tourists in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Why would anyone not want to have a website for those visitors who have their iPhones and Blackberries Googling businesses while they are in Frazier Park CA?
Call me silly but, YOU NEED A WEBSITE PEOPLE!!!
Well, that's enough rambling for me. I love my town, I hope you will visit, and I will write to you soon...
Elizabeth
