Hey there.

Got a few comments asking about an adventure pass.  So, here is a link where you can pick a place in a city near you or pick an online vendor to purchase your day or year pass.

  3. Our family are also thinking about going there for the first time. So we have no idea what to expect. We simply would like to play in snow. Coming from LA, are the roads are okay? Do we need to bring our sleds etc.? Are there any places for food or buying snow play item? De we need chains? How are the access from FWY 5 to the snow play area. How busy it gets on the weekend? Many questions.... Your cmments will be appreciated very much.

  4. Hi Nancy,

Thanks for the comment. Check out my latest post (click on the blog title at the top 'FRAZIER PARK CA') and I am confident all your questions will be answered.

The roads are okay and you won't need chains.

There are lots of places to eat, I recommend a place in my new post as well.

It is very busy on the weekends and, quite often, tons of traffic

The links in the right column are recent, most popular, and posts that are being read now. Check them out and you will have a wealth of info about Frazier Park.

    Enjoy your weekend.

  7. Thank you, last question do you have to get a pass per each person or just one for your group?

  8. Hi Anon, the adventure pass is for parking in the Los Padres National Forest. So, basically, it is for each car, and you hang it on the rear view window, or put it on your dashboard.

    Enjoy...

  10. Hi - Do we need to buy the pass in advance or will there be options to buy when we arrive at the forest?

  11. Hi Elizabeth,

Do we require recreation pass when we are visiting only Frazier park & Mt Pinos for snow play and no where else.

  15. Great question Anon. It is probably easier to buy in advance. When you get up there, and park, the Ranger may ticket you if you do not have one.

  16. Anon, you will need an adventure pass for Mt. Pinos, I do not believe you need one for Frazier Park, but an earlier commenter stated there will not be any requirements for this weekend for an adventure pass due to MLK Holiday. Hope that is true.

  17. Anon, you enter Los Padres National Forest before you get to Frazier Park. Therefore, it is in the Forest. ;)

  18. Milagros,

I am pretty sure there is still snow at the top of Mt. Pinos, which is about 19 miles west of the Frazier Park off ramp on the I5.

Although, I have not been up there lately, the snow tends to linger longer there. It is a pretty safe bet.
