STILL SNOW AT THE TOP OF MT PINOS RECREATION AREA
Hey there everyone!!! Like I promised, I went up yesterday, about 2:30 p.m., and took some pictures. These pics are taken at the top of Mt Pinos. The snow level is down to about 3 miles from the top. Just an FYI, at the top, in the parking lot, there is a Nordic Base Building, and if you go to the left or right of it, you will find really fun trails to play in the snow.
Enjoy your day...

Thanks so much for sharing this! We live in Bakersfield and last week went with our kids to Mt. Pinos to play based on your recommendations. It was so nice to not have to guess if there was snow and find out when we get there since it's quite a drive for us.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, just wanted to say thanks!
P.S. We're going back today with sleds, so thank you again! :D
Whoa!!! You are fantastic. Thank you for posting your information. I will recommend you to my friends.
ReplyDeletehi,
ReplyDeleteYou have mentioned that we need an Adventure Pass to go up there. Do you know where can we it?
Hi Anon,
ReplyDeleteIf you look to the right column, you will see a link that says, "WHERE YOU CAN YOU BUY AN ADVENTURE PASS." Click on it and you can find a place to purchase near you.
Have a great day.

Do you know if there is still snow? We are coming up to a cabin next weekend for my son's 5th birthday! He wants to play in the snow :)
ReplyDeleteThere is snow at the very top of Mt Pinos Recreation Area but you will have to hike to find it.
ReplyDeleteHopefully we will get some this month. We usually get snow in Feb.
Have a great time!
Ok - we'll bring our hiking shoes!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Excellent Attitude!!!
ReplyDeleteStill Snow? I want to bring my nephew up on Monday.
ReplyDeleteThere is very little. When you get to the top, at the parking lot, you gotta take the trail to the top of Mt Pinos and you will find some. Hopefully, it's been warm up here, it may be all melted.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Are you guys getting any snow with the rain we are getting in LA? Hopefully!?
ReplyDeleteI hear snow may be on the way, down to the 3,000 foot level. Can you please post an update if/when this happens? Might want to bring the kids up this weekend! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
ReplyDeleteGOT MY FINGERS CROSSED. BUT I WILL POST AND LET YOU KNOW.
ELIZABETH
Elizabeth, any snow in the "snow play" areas of FP from yesterday/today? Looking to take the kids 6am Sunday. Thank you for all your work to promote FP & more importantly to help people take care of themselves. Best.
